How to Play

Mines is like a high-stakes version of Minesweeper. You choose how many mines are hidden in a 5×5 grid, then start flipping tiles. Every safe tile wins you a bigger multiplier. The trick is knowing when to stop and cash out before you hit a mine.

1. Choose your bet amount and pick how many mines to hide: more mines = bigger rewards per safe tile, but more risk.
2. Click any tile on the grid to flip it.
3. If it's safe, great — your multiplier goes up and you can keep going.
4. If it's a mine, the round ends and your bet is lost.
5. You can cash out your current multiplier at any time by clicking the Cash Out button.
6. After the round ends (win or mine), you'll see where all the mines were hidden.

Millionaire Mode, Win $1,000,000

Turn Millionaire Mode on and every round can trigger the Golden Round bonus. Enabling it is free; there is no per-round fee.

Regular payouts follow an alternate schedule while MM is on, so numbers on screen may differ slightly from non-MM play. The mechanics of the game are unchanged.

Bigger bets raise the chance of spawning a Golden Round. The $1,000,000 jackpot is pre-funded and paid in full when won.

No jackpot meter needs to fill. Every triggered round is a real attempt at the million.

Tips & Tricks

The most common beginner mistake in Mines is going too deep with too many mines. Start with 3–5 mines and plan to cash out after 3–5 safe tiles. You'll get a respectable multiplier and avoid the gut punch of losing a great run to a late mine reveal.

Think of Mines as having two separate decisions: how many mines to set, and when to cash out. Set these before each round, not mid-game. If you decide upfront that you'll cash out after 5 safe tiles, you'll stick to it even when temptation tells you to go for one more.

A session strategy many players love: use 3 mines, reveal 5–6 tiles, cash out. Repeat. The multiplier at 5 tiles with 3 mines is around 3.5x. Hit that consistently and your session bankroll grows steadily. It won't feel as exciting as going deep, but your balance will look a lot better at the end.

Don't underestimate Millionaire Mode in Mines — the Golden Grid event, where only 6 safe tiles exist among 19 mines, is an insanely rare jackpot condition. When it triggers, the tension of every flip is unlike anything else. Even if you never complete it, the trigger itself is a memorable moment.

Is It Fair?

All mine positions are locked in before you flip a single tile — that's the provably fair guarantee. The server commits to a secret seed before the round, your client seed mixes in, and the mine map is mathematically fixed before you see any tile. The casino cannot move mines to stop you winning.

After the round ends (whether you cashed out or hit a mine), you can verify the full mine map yourself. When you rotate your client seed, the server reveals the previous session's seed. Run the published algorithm and the mine positions come out identically to what the game showed. This is real verification, not just a promise.

Knowing that mines can't be repositioned mid-round changes how you think about Mines. You're navigating a fixed map, not fighting a moving target. The casino's only edge is the 2% built into the payout formula — it's not hiding mines where you're about to click.
